Strawberries are a healthy addition to a keto diet. One cup of whole strawberries contains 9 net carbohydrates. One medium strawberry contains about 0.6 g of net carbohydrates (0.9 total).

So, add some strawberries to your salad or consume them as a healthy and nutritious snack without disrupting your keto diet.

Strawberry Cheesecake Shake Keto Ingredients:

The primary fruity flavor of this shake comes from strawberries. Strawberries are a bright red fruit that is juicy and tasty.

Strawberries are high in antioxidants and plant components, which may be beneficial to cardiovascular health and blood sugar regulation. These berries are typically consumed raw and fresh, but they can also be used in a variety of jams, jellies, and desserts.

Almond milk:

Because of its rich texture and flavor, almond milk is one of the most popular plant-based milk in the keto diet. Almond milk is created from ground almonds and water, although it may also contain other components depending on the brand.

Almonds and water are combined and then filtered to eliminate pulp during processing. This results in a smooth liquid.

Thickeners, preservatives, and flavorings are commonly added to commercial almond milk to improve flavor, texture, and shelf life.

Almond milk is naturally dairy-free, making it acceptable for vegans as well as those who are allergic to dairy or have lactose intolerance.

Can I substitute almond milk?

Almond milk can be substituted with unsweetened coconut milk for this keto shake. Coconut milk is typically found in the Asian foods aisle in most supermarkets.

Canned coconut milk is a much better option than carton coconut milk since the latter is heavily diluted and not as high in healthy fats.

To sweeten the keto cream cheese strawberry dessert shake we will use erythritol. Erythritol is a sugar alcohol, which means it belongs to a group of chemicals known as sugar alcohols.

Erythritol is made in large-scale manufacture when yeast ferments glucose from maize or wheat starch.

Erythritol looks to be a good sugar substitute for those who are overweight, diabetic, or have other difficulties connected to metabolic syndrome.

Heavy cream:

The heavy cream provides the creamy texture to this strawberry cheesecake keto recipe. Heavy cream contains only 1.75 grams of carbs per 1/4 cup (59 mL).

It’s high fat and low carb making it a keto-friendly ingredient for this recipe.  The heavy cream produces and creamier and richer texture for the shake giving it the perfect consistency.

Coconut milk or coconut cream can also be used as a perfect vegan substitute for heavy cream for people who adhere to paleo and gluten-free diets.

Coconut milk has the same thick consistency as heavy cream but without dairy. For the best results, make sure to use full-fat coconut milk and shake the can before opening it.

It can also be used as a thicker option. These dairy-free substitutes lack the nutrition of traditional heavy cream. While heavy cream contains calcium, protein, and a range of vitamins, coconut milk and coconut cream can serve as alternatives but might not offer the same nutrition profile.

Cream cheese:

One of the core ingredients of the keto cream cheese strawberry dessert shake is cream cheese. Cream cheese is rich in fat and has a low carbohydrate and protein content. It’s also high in vitamin A and has a small amount of riboflavin (vitamin B2).

  • In a blender, add all of the ingredients and blend until well integrated and completely smooth.

  • For a thicker consistency, add frozen almond milk cubes.

  • Finish off by topping the shake with whipped cream and a keto graham cracker.

How to make Keto Graham Cracker

Topping this delectable keto shake with some keto graham crackers will alleviate the taste and provide texture to the recipe.

A graham cracker is a crunchy, slightly sweet wholegrain cracker that is used as a base for the crust in various cheesecake recipes or to produce S’mores snacks.

It’s simple to make homemade Graham crackers with no sugar and fewer carbs. You don’t require any special cooking equipment, such as a food processor; all you need is a bowl, a spatula, baking sheets, and parchment paper.

  • 1 tbsp powdered monk fruit sweetener

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

For the graham cracker, mix all the ingredients in a bowl and then spread it out into a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes at 350F or until golden brown.

These keto crackers can be stored in an airtight container in the pantry for up to a week. Otherwise, store the box in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. You can also store keto crackers in ziplock bags and reheat them at room temperature the day before consuming them.
