Need some incredibly soft and perfectly sweet keto doughnuts in your life? Well then, these almond flour doughnuts have you covered!
As a Krispy Kream doughnut fanatic, I’ve been craving the super soft and sweet doughnut taste for what feels like forever!
Although these almond flour doughnuts don’t have the exact same texture as carb packed doughnuts (these are more cakey), they still taste just as delicious!
I LOVED the vanilla extract coupled with the cream cheese glaze, as it makes the doughnuts such an absolute delight.
Almond Flour Doughnut Ingredients:
Doughnut:
- 2 cup almond flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup of oil (I used coconut oil)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup monkfruit sweetener
Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 3 tbsp cream cheese
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp unsweetened almond milk
- 4 tsp powdered monkfruit sweetener

The DIY way of piping your almond flour doughnuts:
When trying to make the perfect doughnut shape, I use a Zip-Lock bag to pipe my batter into the molds. It’s the neatest way to keep the shape intact.
Though the real challenge is taking the doughnuts out of the doughnut molds without damaging the shape of the almond flour doughnut.
That’s why I got these cute silicone doughnut molds. They’re so convenient, as they’re non-stick, and let you just pop the doughnuts out once they’re cooled with no problem. You won’t even have to grease the mold before piping the dough!

I know you might be tempted to eat them right away, but you’ll need to wait until they’re fully cooled!
If you try to take them out too soon, the almond flour doughnuts will crumble or break in half.

The Super Fun Toppings!
So I was browsing through Amazon (like any other day), and had the brilliant idea to check if sugar-free sprinkles were a thing.
And just as one would come to expect from Amazon, sugar free sprinkles were there!
Up until now, it never crossed my mind before that sprinkles could be made sugar free (as per there very nature), but happy to have found them!
It’s so much fun to put them on everything, and their taste is legit! I’m obsessed!
I also LOVE adding sugar free chocolate chips to all my desserts, definitely got it from my boyfriend. He likes to make some unique flavor combinations every night during his keto dessert time.

The Sweet Keto Cream Cheese Glaze:
As you guys may know, a glaze is mostly made out of confectioners’ sugar. The sweetness of the glaze comes from powder sugar, but we don’t want to have an overwhelmingly sweet glaze on top of our almond flour doughnuts.
That’s why we are using cream cheese as a thickener for the glaze; this allows us to control the amount of sweetness we want and keep a nice thick consistency.
I created this cream cheese glaze previously for my keto cinnamon roll coffee cake (it turned out amazing!), and decided to use it for these delicious almond flour doughnuts too!
