Easter Brunch Favorites

You’ll get some curious glances if you show up to an Easter brunch with a lot of hard-boiled eggs. But, if you cut those bad boys in half and stuff them with precisely seasoned egg yolks, you’ll be everyone’s favorite friend.

These best bacon deviled eggs have a wonderful freshness from the lemon, but they’re also comfortable from the bacon topping. I enjoy a simple brunch, and these deviled eggs are my top choice for this Easter brunch.

Avocado Deviled Eggs Keto Ingredients:

This super easy and quick recipe of the best keto deviled eggs requires only a handful of ingredients which you would definitely find in your staple pantry.

  • 2 slices bacon, diced

  • 6 large eggs

  • 1 avocado, halved, seeded and peeled

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves

  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Eggs:

The very base of this recipe since you can not have deviled eggs without eggs right? Eggs are so nutritious that they’re labeled “nature’s multivitamin.” They also contain rare antioxidants and potent brain nutrients that many individuals lack.

According to Healthline, Eggs are high in vitamins, minerals, high-quality protein, healthy fats, and a variety of other lesser-known nutrients.

Eggs also contain trace amounts of nearly every vitamin and mineral required by the human body, such as calcium, iron, potassium, zinc, manganese, vitamin E, folate, and many others.

Eggs are really fulfilling. As a result, consuming eggs in the morning may help you eat fewer calories throughout the day and lose weight.

Bacon:

To give a crunchy texture to these deviled eggs we will be using bacon in this recipe. These best bacon deviled eggs have the perfect balance of flavors and texture along with being keto and low carb snack choices.

Bacon is prepared from pork and undergoes a curing process in which it is soaked in salt, nitrates, and other substances.

Avocado:

In this recipe, avocado is the star ingredient since it will give the body to this filling of deviled eggs with its rich and creamy texture.

Avocados are commonly used and referred to as a vegetable but they are actually a fruit! Avocados make a great and nutritious addition to a keto diet because of their high content of healthy fats good for your heart and low carbs.

It’s undoubtedly one of the best fruits you can eat if you’re following a ketogenic lifestyle. Avocado adds such a creamy texture to the deviled eggs that it feels like melting in your mouth.

Cilantro:

Fresh chopped cilantro will give a refreshing feel to the rich eggs and avocado filling. According to Healthline, cilantro contains antioxidants that have immune-boosting, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective effects.

Cilantro may be beneficial to your heart by reducing blood pressure and LDL (bad) cholesterol while boosting HDL (good) cholesterol.

Lemon juice:

A tablespoon of lemon juice will be added to season and provide a zing to the deviled eggs.

Salt:

Salt to balance all the seasonings in the recipe and bind the flavors together.

Pepper:

Use black pepper to add flavor and spice to the recipe.

Chives:

Chives are a high-nutrient food. This implies they’re low in calories but high in nutrients including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

According to Medical News Today, 1 tbsp of chopped chives provides 0.9 calories, 6.38 mcg of vitamin K, 1.74 milligrams of vitamin C, 3.15 mcg of folate, 6.43 mcg of vitamin A, 2.76 mg of calcium, and 8.88 mg of potassium.

Paprika:

A smokey hint of paprika will alleviate the spice profile of the best bacon deviled eggs.

Paprika is great for your health as it contains capsaicin since paprika is a type of pepper. Capsaicin has been shown in studies that it helps to reduce inflammation, help people lose weight, and other health benefits.

Instructions:

  • Boil the eggs first and once done, peel the shells away and separate the egg yolks after cutting the boiled eggs halfway lengthwise.

  •  Mash the yolks and avocado with a fork in a small bowl until chunky. Season with salt and pepper to taste after adding the cilantro and lemon juice.

  • Pipe this mixture in the egg white halves with a pastry bag, then top with bacon and garnish with chives and paprika.

How to boil eggs the right way:

  • Fill a saucepan with cold water approximately a quarter of the way. Place the eggs in the bottom of the pot in a single layer.

  • More water should be added until the eggs are submerged by at least an inch of water. Bring the water to a good full boil in the pot over high heat.

  • Turn off the heat, cover the saucepan, and set aside for 10 to 12 minutes.

  • Remove the water from the pan and pour cold water over the eggs to quickly cool them and prevent them from cooking anymore.

Can they be made ahead?

This is an excellent make-ahead recipe best keto deviled eggs. If you want to make these keto-deviled eggs ahead of time, boil the eggs and prepare the filling but don’t fill the eggs until you’re ready to serve.

Separately store the filling and the egg whites in a ziplock bag or a container.

Storing the Keto avocado deviled eggs:

Refrigerate any remaining eggs in an air-tight jar. Make sure the container has a lid so that the egg fragrance stays in the container rather than floating throughout the fridge!

They’ll keep in the fridge for a few days, but they’re tastiest when made and served fresh. To keep this quick avocado-deviled egg recipe fresh, pour extra lime juice on top to help keep the avocado from darkening.
